The Infinite Sports Experience
Everyone Can Grow, Improve,
and Achieve Success
Infinite Sports was born out of the belief that there is no limit to realizing an individual’s potential. With the right motivation and a supportive environment to guide and channel that energy, everyone can grow, improve, and achieve success.
Our philosophy is simple: work hard, have fun, and embrace the journey. Rather than focusing on winning or losing, we prioritize the pure joy of gymnastics. Our goal is to create an environment where movement and learning are celebrated, and where participants thrive through teamwork, personal growth, and a shared commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle. Through this approach, we help develop the confidence and resilience necessary to take on life’s challenges.
Kaizen: The Heart of Our Culture
A core value that guides us is the concept of “Kaizen” - the Japanese principle of continuous improvement or change for the better.
We are dedicated to fostering a culture of progress, where participants of all levels receive unwavering support and are encouraged to grow stronger every day.
Always evolving, always welcoming
While our founder, Sho Nakamori, has deep roots in gymnastics, we maintain a ‘life-long student’ mindset—always learning, evolving, and integrating movement methodologies from various sports. Whether it’s a participant’s first or hundredth time stepping foot in the gym, we hope they feel our emphasis on attention to detail, progression, and personal achievement.
Infinite Sports is a welcoming space where discovery, effort, and perseverance are just as celebrated as the achievement of mastering a skill. Fun and safety are always the priority, and we are confident that we can help instill a true love for exercise and movement through the incredible sport of gymnastics.
Five core elements
for total wellness
These five elements—agility, flexibility, strength, balance, and awareness—are at the heart of our programs, helping athletes grow both physically and mentally.
Our Mission
The mission of Infinite Sports is straightforward:
To provide an exceptional recreational gymnastics experience for all of our participants.
We aim to break the misconception that gymnastics is a sport only for elite athletes, and instead highlight its benefits as a foundation for strength, agility, and lifelong health. At Infinite Sports, we celebrate gymnastics - one step, one leap, and one skill at a time!
Meet the Founder: Sho Nakamori
Bay Area Roots and a Passion for Gymnastics
Sho Nakamori is as local a Bay Area native as you can get. The son of immigrant parents, he grew up in the East Bay and discovered his passion for gymnastics at a small neighborhood gym.
Driven by dedication and true love for the sport, Sho advanced quickly - earning accolades and awards at both, local and national levels. He would eventually make the US National Team during his teen years and would remain on the squad for the next decade. His journey has allowed him to represent the United States at some of the largest international competitions in the world, including the Pan American Games and World Championships. As team captain, he helped lead the Stanford Cardinal to their first NCAA title in 14 years, all while earning 8 All-American accolades during his collegiate career.
Sho is no stranger to adversity. A lifelong pursuit for the Olympic team was cut short due to untimely injuries. While many may call this a disappointment, Sho decided to take a different perspective. When he was ready to “hang up his grips” and retire from competing, his deep appreciation for gymnastics meant he would stay involved in the sport.
From Athlete to International Judge and Advocate
Sho currently serves as an internationally certified judge through the International Federation of Gymnastics and has judged at some of the world’s most prestigious gymnastics events including Olympic Trials, World Championships, and Youth Olympic Games. He also loves to stay connected and serve the athletic community, most recently as the athlete representative for all Team USA Olympians at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
A Trusted Voice and Advisor in the Gymnastics World
Additionally, Sho brings his expertise as a gymnastics analyst to the global stage, partnering with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee to track trends at major international competitions, including Continental and World Championships.
With over 20 years of coaching experience, Sho has worked at both the grassroots and competitive levels, and continues to advise the U.S. Olympic Men’s Gymnastics Team. He also holds clinics and workshops, traveling the world to share his gymnastics knowledge. Athletes Sho has mentored and advised have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, as well as earn medals at the World Championships and Olympics.
A Lifelong Love for the Sport
Most importantly, Sho is a lifer in gymnastics—you may still spot him in the gym attempting some of the old tricks he used to do as a competitive gymnast—albeit perhaps not so gracefully as before! Sho deeply believes in the life-changing impact of gymnastics and is passionate about sharing the sport that has shaped his journey. Grateful for the experiences and friendships gymnastics gave him, he felt a deep calling to give back - an inspiration that ultimately sparked the vision for Infinite Sports.
